The Nine-Volume Set: The Options Guide Series
Nine Volumes: Foundations, Intermediate, Advanced
Nine volumes in three tiers: one complete path from the first option contract to an institutional trading framework.
ABOUT THE BOOK
Many investors learn options piecemeal: a few articles on buying calls, a tip that selling puts generates income, and then an earnings gap or a volatility spike reveals how little they understood about risk. Most options books either stop at definitions or jump straight to strategy conclusions. Few offer a single path from fundamentals to a full trading system with data behind every step.
The Options Guide Series follows that path in nine volumes and three tiers. The Foundations tier covers contracts, pricing, the Greeks, order entry and income strategies, so readers can place their first planned trade. The Intermediate tier moves to index and ETF options, multi-leg structured positions and event trading, with the emphasis on fixing risk boundaries before entry. The Advanced tier addresses the institutional framework: box spreads, risk reversals and diagonal spreads, the construction of a professional trading system, and the link between macro cycles and volatility.
Every case uses real dates and real prices, from the 2008 financial crisis, the 2018 volatility collapse and the 2020 Covid crash to successive Nvidia and Tesla earnings reports. The main strategies are tested on historical data and the calculations can be reproduced. Each volume is organized around risk boundaries: the worst-case loss comes first, then the sources of return, with the maximum loss on any single trade held to 1% to 2% of account capital. All nine volumes are available in Chinese and English, for systematic study or reference by topic.
HIGHLIGHTS
A complete learning path. Three tiers build on one another, so each volume rests on the concepts of the last and readers always know where they stand and what to study next.
Real data, reproducible results. Every case uses real dates and prices; the main strategies are backtested or modeled, and the methods are stated in the charts and text so readers can verify them.
Built around risk boundaries. Each strategy starts with its worst case and the conditions under which it fails, then its sources of return, so readers know the risk they carry before entry.
Institutional methods for individual accounts. The series draws on the practice of market makers, hedge funds and asset managers, and shows how those methods work within the size and constraints of a personal account.
Chinese and English editions. All nine volumes are available in both languages with consistent terminology, suited to side-by-side reading and to study in either language.
